Our volunteer of the month for September is Jamal!
Hoping to fill his time as a recent retiree from the Richmond County Board of Education, Jamal began volunteering with RMHC Augusta in August of 2021 as a special events volunteer. From the beginning, we knew Jamal was special. “He’s an extremely hard worker and has this infectious persona about him,” says Volunteer Coordinator, Karleigh. “He shows up to events with his milliondollar smile and genuine personality, which is apparent when engaging with guests. We are extremely lucky to have him on our volunteer team supporting families.” Jamal enjoys playing basketball, football, painting, and building.
