The Best Gift Ever

RMHC Augusta received the BEST GIFT EVER from the Merchants Association of Columbia County!  Following their first-ever Columbia County Spring Fair, they presented us with a check for $150,000!!!  Yes, you read that right, $150k.  Words cannot express how grateful we all are for this tremendous gift. Thank you to Mike Zapata, Milena Henderson, Reynold Borseth, the board of directors, and to the patrons for making the fair happen!  If you live, work, or shop in Columbia County, please thank everyone for us!

And if that news was not great enough here’s some more good news, RMHC Augusta is slowly, slowly returning to normal.  We are welcoming more families to the House as Covid restrictions lessen.  We have always, and will always, continue to follow the guidelines put forth by the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.  The safety of our families, staff, and volunteers is our priority.  We encourage all staff and family members to receive a vaccine and require all volunteers to be fully vaccinated.

Having said that, we have the PERFECT way for you to support the house vaccinated or not!  July 14, 2021, is the starting date for our 2nd Annual Savannah River Challenge.  This virtual kayak race along the Savannah River pits us against our sister House in Savannah.  With every $25 donation, we move 1 mile along the river.  The return trip is 400 miles and the first House to make the return trip, wins! Every RMHC Augusta donor receives 1 entry into a drawing for a real (not virtual) kayak, courtesy of Escape Outdoors!  Click here, Savannah River Challenge, for more information.
