Who can stay?
To stay at Ronald McDonald House of Augusta, families must have a child (up to age 21) who is receiving medical care at an Augusta area hospital. The ability to stay at RMHC is based on the urgency of care and distance traveled with families traveling over 40 miles given priority. Although families are asked to make a donation of $20 per night, no family is ever turned away due to an inability to contribute.
How do I request a room for my family?
All families who wish to stay with us are required to complete the room referral process and pass a background check. Referrals can only be made through a social worker at the hospital where the patient is being treated.
Once the referral has been processed and approved, one of our staff members will contact you with instructions on how to complete the online background check. After the background check results have been processed, a staff member will contact you to discuss room availability. Please note that completing this process does not guarantee you and your family a room.
What if the House is full?
House occupancy changes daily, and often by the hour. A staff member will be in touch to update you on room availability.
