Hester Designs helps RMHC with design

Red Shoes Golf Classic

We are now in month 5 of Covid-19 and we have NEVER CLOSED OUR DOORS.  Our families have been able to stay with us, close to their hospitalized child and I hope to keep it that way!

We are facing an uncertain future, but one thing is certain; we will remain open and be here for our families as long as they need us.  Children’s Hospital of Georgia is taking care of their patients and we are taking care of their families.  We have had to make changes quickly in this new environment and I am so very proud of our staffHester Designs helps RMHC with design and Board of Directors for their unwavering support of the House.  Our immediate concern (after we’ve taken care of Covid-19 safety concerns) is financing the House.  We are working hard every day to ensure that funds are coming in to support our operations.

Last month we held our first-ever Savannah River Challenge and I’m happy to report that even though Savannah won the race, we raised over $8500 from the Augusta community.  Thank you to all who contributed!  The kayak winner was Bill Cleveland.  Thank you to Escape Outdoors for the kayak!!  Also thank you to Be Still for the billboards throughout the town.  WJBF was our partner from the beginning and I thank them for their help promoting the challenge…I know they want to beat WSAV next year!

At the end of this month, on August 31, we will be holding our Red Shoe Golf Classic.  We are working closely with West Lake Country Club to ensure your safety and I’m confident that you’ll have a wonderful time on the beautiful links of West Lake. The course is in superb condition – can’t you just picture yourself on the 1st tee?  Visit our website to sign up!!

I look forward to seeing you all at the golf tournament and know that I’ll be smiling at you, under my mask.

Until next month, stay well and be happy!
